I heard the average rent for an apartment in nyc is about $100 a square foot. Is this really true or is that a lie. I'm currently paying about $2.00 per square foot for rent. Anyone got any help on this question?

Screw that...you pet deposit should cover any problems your pet causes. That the reason for the pet deposit in the first place. I'm sure there's some rent laws in place for that...but who knows.

Yeah, I think your deposit should cover it unless the damage done was well over what you paid on the deposit. Check out your states rent legislation laws to find out more. good luck.

You guys tell me, Im paying 750$/month in rent for a 700 sq ft apartment in the suburbs. I know a bunch of people that pay close to that for renting in the city? Should I leave the suburbs and head to the city? Or just suck it up where I'm currently at? My landlords are cool and the living situation is ok. Any help would be nice.

Your landlords need to have a certain amount of boundaries when it comes to you living situation. If your paying your rent on time with no help, then they shouldn't be bugging you. I know you have right in this manner and you should look into them. Find a list of rent laws and legislations to get the rent help you need.

I hate my landlords. They are constantly bugging me with something that I have no control over. I just want to be left alone. It's not like I haven't payed my rent on time or anything. They just keep coming up with reasons to call me up or stop by my place. What should I do?

I pay 650$/month on my rent in the city and its an overall great deal for the size of my place. My main issue is that the owners and landlord refuse to keep the place renovated and taken care of properly. The place just seems to slowly fall apart over time.
