Single father of three children looking for rent assistance before the end of this month. I am currently short 350$ on this months coming rent and basically have already used all my life lines on figuring this out. I hate to request rent assistance in this manner due to the fact that it is extremely humiliating for a man, however, I must throw my pride out the window and think about my kids.
The main reason I need rent assistance is due to a disability I acquired off the job about 1 year ago. Although I have received some funding from the government I'ts still hardly enough to pay rent on time consistently. I've spent the last year basically eliminating everything in my life that costs extra money that I don't drastically need. After all this, I still need rent assistance.
If anyone has any ideas or leads for a quality rent assistance program or rent assistance loan program please let me know. I will check back every so often to this website to see if there is any rent assistance leads. Thank you for listening.

I am a grandmother and my daughter and her husband has a drug proublem and are in jail, so i end up with 6 girls ages 1 5 6 11 12 and 15. im on disability and i need 900 dollars to get my rent and electric payed. i already got a 3day to pay and i got my ssi and i either lost most of it or someone help there self to it. im 60 years old and my health isnt good,so im not able to work and i recently had a stroke and i pray that i can get help so i wont have to move

I Am a mother of 2 and have currently lost my job because i was in an accident and was off work for too long for them to hold my position. i have been given till 12/10/11 to pay last months rent and this months rent. i still am waiting on unemployment and have not current income to pay the fees for the grant apps. any advice?

if ur like me, then you have tried all sorts of ideas from other people. however, if you havent used your local community non-profit agencies. do so. the govt. allocate funds to certain orgs. to keep people in their homes/apts to prevent homelessness. funds are avail. for low to middle low/high imcome. all you need is your eviction notice. try places like salvation army st vincent de paul, big churches like luthern or presb. there are also outreach ministeries who receive funds call your local 211 or crisis information line. in my area there is only a few places. and you have to call after tuesday or the first wednesday after the 8th!! too many people need help and funds go quick. sooooo please pray for me. its cold in tacoma, WA and i have arthritis. ...dont like outside. i am one month behind in the amount of $456.00 the remaining, the landlord is willing to place on a payment plan. if i can come up with november's rent. my social security disability was reduced.
for three months which put me behind. trying to keep afloat until problem is solved.

I live in a beautiful apartment in Santa Rosa Calfornia with my son and husband. We moved here so that our 15 year old son could be closer to his medical care in San Fransico. We have to go to San Fransico alot sometimes two to three times a month. Our son uses a cough assist machine and a chect persussion vest daily. He got phnemonia in Feb.2011 and his lugs have not been the same since. His lung capacity is only 28%.
Our son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The worst type of disease one could have. This disease leads to death of which there is no cure for. Our son is in a wheelchair, he can not feed himself or give himself a bath. I have to manulley role him over in the middle for the night every two hours. He his totally dependent on me for all of his care.
My husband years ago took care of our son, while I worked. They spent alot of time to together laughing together and watching t.v. At that time our son could walk, but at age 7 lost the ability to walk and ended up in a wheelchair. Some years later the roles were reversed. Now my husband works and receives a gross of $350.oo per week from his employer. My son receives SSI. I get money from the state to take care of our terminall ill son. We have medical expenses that are not all covered by medical for our son.
Last month I applied for a cash loan and did not know that the company was not legitmate. SO they sold my checking account information. Someone went into my checking account with out my permission and took money out. I had to close the account where my direct deposit go into. The bank returned mine and my husband's check back to our employers. We could not notify our employers in time to change the direct deposit information. My employer and my husband's employer will have to re-issue paper checks. For my huband this will happen right away, but for me my check is going to take so long to get to me that I will not be able to pay my rent on time. My land lord is giving us to the 14th of October 2011 to come up with the $1,314.00 that we will owe them for October 2011.
We cannot be homeless with a terminally ill child who requires all this medcial attention.

I am a single woman in Western WA. Like so many I have never had to do this. I was laid off October 2009. After this I ended up in the hospital with a blood clot that threw off into my lungs.
I am now able to work again, THANK GOD! I found part time work, and I am taking every bit of it I can, while continuing to seek other part time, and or full time work.
I have managed to survive until now and need $600.00 for September rent. I will be closing this lease after that and seeking other houseing arrangements. (September will end my lease, and I have good rental history.. so far and am trying desperately to hold onto that).
I have gone to, and continue to seek local help.
Any help will be much appreciated, and WILL go directly to rent.

I am past due on my rent, I owe about $950 on my rent, and with no job, car is in dire need of breaking down , needing repairs, no work, look for work on line constantly , they turned me down for unemployment and i have appealed it, landlord is in need of it NOW

Currently looking for help for my family here in Surprise Arizona we just moved here and everything fell apart our jobs didn't fall through with the company we were suppose to work for we used up all our saving to get our children out here and us. It was suppose to be a new beginning my wife cries everyday as well as I'm about to start we are strong minded christian but we really have a sad ordeal we are contacting all resource here I did have a good job got laid off 3 weeks after starting cause they said they don't have the hours in the dept I a very experience mechanic and 8 yrs experience and to even my amazement I can't find a job I keept track I've put in since I've arrived to arizona 243 apps eveyday 16 to 24 I'm not just looking for mechanic anything my wife an I our scared we were suppose to get on section 8 thats been delayed, suppose to work for major retailer they said its a job freeze after working for them 8 yrs both of us. I'm not giving up on god never will just sad what this world come to when honest hard working people can't even be considered for employment really sad. we need 1,000 dollar to keep our home and I don't know anyone elese to turn to

I need help paying my rent. I am unemployed since May 27, 2011. I have been waiting for unemployment and I have been denied. So I appealed the decision that was made and my hearing is not until August 9, 2011. My rent is due August 1, 2011. By the 5th I will have late charges. I have no income and I don't know what to do. I have a daughter who I just want to keep a roof over our heads. I need a small amount $338 and can find no one to help me. I believe in telling the truth and no sob story. I guess this is my problem. The landlord was just here and told me that the sheriff will be the next one I see to give me my eviction if I dont get his money like yesterday. What am I suppose to do. Please...I need help with paying me rent! I was diagnosed with severe Hashinotos Disease back in 2004 and couldn't work any longer. I applied for disability as told by my doctor to do, I was turned down twice. I lost my home and had to make my car my home. I fought back and now have a roof over my head, was really proud of myself. I recently started having mini strokes (TIAs) and they have somewhat effected my short term memory...therefor causing my to lose my job. I have NO money for rent. I just need help for a couple of months as I am in the middle of another disability attempt. Please, I don't want to go back to living in my car. I am a single mother of 4 kids, i go to work everyday at a community action agency that helps the community to pay bills, but unfortunately will not help me. My landlord is such a good man and has let me pay when i can, but i fell behind when i had to be on maternity leave. I have always worked and tried to pay my bills on time. I also went back to school and got my bachelor's degree so that i could have a better future for us. I cant seem to get ahead. I deperately need help and could also pay it back over a period of time. Help is deeply needed in my case. I been late before but this time im gonna be 400 dollars late on my rent and the landlord says i may be evicted if not paid by 12/20/10. Dont know what to do but im tryin hard as ever to get out of this situation. Everything hit me at one time and i got caught up dealing with loans and other things. Need help immediately,please. Doesnt matter to me if its a grant or whatever because i can pay it back but i just need assistance ASAP. If i could get by this it would be the best christmas present ever.
