Hi, my name is Connie and i have recently become a single mother of 2 small children. I have been a stay at home mother and wife for the last 6 yrs. and my husband just recently left us. He made all the income to allow me to be a mother with no worries but now that we are divorced i have tryed working and i lost the job that i had started due to not being able to find adequate child care all the time cuz i didnt make enough money to pay the bills and the high price of childcare for 2 children. I am now finally receiving some child support and i am babysitting 1 child to get some more income while trying to find another job and i am also going to school for my associates degree in criminal law. I am only 2 weeks late on my rent now and i have already received an eviction notice today. I have 10 days to pay $625.00 more to keep my apt with my children. 'i am scared now cuz we dont have anywhere to go now and i am afraid i will loose my children if we loose this place and have no where to go. I have talked to our church and called other churches in the area and called help places and no one has been able to help me yet, i am past desperate now and dont know what else to do. Please if there is anyone who can help me this month i can even pay it back next month with my taxes, i just dont have that much time before the kick us out. I know im not the only one in need but i hope and pray that i can get some help and so can everyone else, i know where there is a will, there is a way. Everyone please pray that the help we all need is there somewhere and that we will soon see our way out of this recession that has made life so hard lately.

Have you attempted to utilize some of your local and government rent help resources Sheri? Within another post on this website is a list of rent help and rent assistance programs that work through government funding on a state by state level. Here's the link for that post. I'M A SINGLE MOTHER OF TWO BOYS AGES 13 AND 5 I JUST LOST MY JOB A MONTH AGO AND AM STRUGGLING TO PAY 595.OO A MONTH RENT. I AM CURRENTLY FILLING OUT APPLICATIONS MY JOB DENIED MY UNEMPLOYMENT SO I HAVE NO INCOME I GET FOOD STAMPS WHICH HELPS FOOD WISE BUT NOT FOR OTHER THINGS. CHRISTMAS IS COMING UP AND I HAVE NO FUND FOR THAT. I REALLY NEED HELP.
