hello i am a 62 yr old man who up until 2 yrs ago was a self employed house painter,then like so many others the bottom fell out.ive exhausted my unemployment.i get a few small jobs now and then but it isnt much.anyway ive fallen behind in my rent,5000 dollars behind ive been in this house for 20 yrs. and my landlord God bless her has been very patient but now says i must have 2500 for her by feb.15 or i have to be out by the end of the month,ill be honest im scared to death.any help will be greatly appreciated.thanks for your tome.wm hilderbrand.wh95404@aol.com

well i just read alll these posts and i wish i was in a position to help everyone out.unfortunatly i am in the same position. i have 2 children and no family.i got behind on my rent and my lardlord has been more then patient with me but he needs his money just like eveyone else. i hhave been with my bayfriend for 15 years and he is working a part time job but can not find any other work.i am disabled so i am unable to work to help.if i don't get my lardlord some rent in the nexttwo weeks we are going to be homeless.i already had to uproot my children from florida to massachusetts because both my mother and father pasted awy.it took them a while to ajust but they are both so happy now that i just cant change everything and take awy everyone in there life again.if the is anyone in the blackstone mass area that has extra work for my man or any type of help orr assistance please e mail me..i don't really expect much of a response but i have to try something..thanks for listening...sugarmama431@ymail.com

I am 54 years old and lost my job 2 years ago. This past October, I lost my home. Until recently, I have been staying with friends. I am now renting a room and I am unable to pay the next 2 weeks. I am working part time and am eligable for unemployment in the next few weeks, and early retirement in April. If anybody can help with $360 to pay my next rent, it would be appreciated. I would be able to repay in a couple of months. I don't know where else to turn.

My name is Yolanda. I was recently let go from my job after almost 2 yrs. I share an apartment with my sister and brother-in-law. Just last year my sister was diagnosed with a chronic illness. She is a veteran of the Airforce and although they have been helping her with her medical bills she has been working on her disability benefits for over a year. She is unable to work so until recently I have been paying all of the bills. My brother-in-law has been looking for work as an HVAC tech but because of his criminal background has been unable to find work. I am waiting for my unemployment to be approved but need money for my rent. I need at least $900 until I have som income coming in until I find another job.

I moved in with my brother and sister in law with my daughter a few months ago because we were being abused where we were living before. We are $1,350 behind in our rent and will be evicted this saturday. We have 1 kid each and dont have anywhere to go. I make no money and neither does my brother or sister in law. We are in need of assistance fast. If theres anyone out there that has a heart please help us have a place to call home for christmas.

hello im jasmine and i currently live with my boyfriend. ive been unemployed for about three months so we count on what he makes but he only makes about 1,200 a month with isnt much. were going to be evicted within 24 hours as were so behind on rent. to be honest i dont know how we made it this far but theres noone who we know that can help us. im 19 and i know what its like to live out on the street (my father abused me so i ran away and lived in my car) and now that i finally found a home (i was living in my car til september and i left that house in feburary) i dont wanna lose it. if anyone knows of a rent assistance program that can help within the next 24 hours youd be a lifesaver.

Hello. My name is Merica Smith and I am about to be evicted from my apartment. I have a son and I have fallen on hard times. I graduated with my Associate Degree in May this year and relocated for better opportunities for me and my son. I am about to be two months behind and I am in the hiring process for a job with early head start that will start within the next two weeks. I just received a call from my landlord as I'm behind in my rent about $4000. I will be 60 years old in October. I have had a lot of illness the last 3 years. My income is just a little above qualifying for any help. I live a very frugal life. I was getting my food at food banks but now I have gluten intolerance which makes it very hard to eat inexpensive. I don't have tv service or a home phone. I do have a cell phone. I'm in that bracket where I can't get help. She said they are turning it over to a lawyer. Its not like I missed paying several months in a row and when I had a little extra I would add it to my monthly rent but I can't get caught up. I don't know where to turn. I've worked hard all my life but my money is gone since I've been living on Social Security Disability.

Hello I'm in need of rental assistance I've been out of full time work for 2 years now. I am a single mom with two son's and I am currently paying 900 a month, I have lived off my saving since I lost my job 2 yrs ago shortly after I applied for state aid and was given assistance on my move in here 1 1/2 yr ago. I've been working odd jobs any and everywhere it is now down to the wire. My rent is due on the 15th of august and I am working very hard to try and come up with it. Any help or and information on where I can get some type of assistance with half of the rent for at least the next 6 months would be great. I just recently sent my oldest son to live with his dad and my youngest son dad is deceased since 2005 so I am really trying to hold it together any help is greatly appreciated while I continue to search for full time work. Hello Everyone, I am begging to see if someone can help me pay my rent for this up coming month for August 1, 2011. I got laid off my job 2 months ago and I start a new job on tuesday August 2, 2011. The problem is that I had money saved up and collected unemployment but as we all know thats not enough. All I am looking for is $844.00 to pay my rent so that my girlfriend who is 6 months pregnant and my 3yr old son aren't evicted. We have a 5 day grace period but as of August 6, 2011 I will be sleeping in my car. If someone could please help me I would greatly appreciate it and also write up an agreement to pay you back. Hello my name is JoAnn I am a singel mom of 3 beautifl girls. Last march I had to take off from work my 2 year old had pneumoia. I only took of two days and that cost me my job. I am however working now but did fall down with my bills. My landlord is now calling me at my new job suggesting i get a loan to pay him or loose our home, I tried to make him understand thst I could not take on a payment and afford to pay him as well. I now have a 10 day shut off for my electric as well i am trying but all the resourcrs I have applied for say I need an eviction notice and even with that they only cover 400.00. I am curently two month behind and can not catch up. If I could please ask anyone to help I have no family and the childrens father are not around. I need help and I don't know what to do, I have a job full time but it's only30 hrs a wk. I got behind in my rent and pay it in 2 payments every month, but I have 400 in late fees that I can't catch up on and now they are theating eviction. I have gone for gov assistance and I don't qualify unless they evict me, this is what I am trying to avoid. I am 58 yrs old and have been on my own for 15 yrs, I have never asked for assistance before, because I feel that there are people worse off than me, but now I just don't know what to do. i have been trying to get out my lease for the past 3 months as i knew my job was ending , now it has end and i have one month to pay out on my lease however the landlord will not let me leave . i've told him that i will not have this last month rent . it is hard to find a place if you have unpaid rent . i want to move in with family until i get a job but he tell me if i leave im breaking the lease so what do i do? i only have one month to go i dont understand why he will not just allow me to leave , i cant pay him i have zero income, i need help in getting out of this or a way to pay my rent

I was left by my husband on christmas day, with a reason none other then no more love. I have a lil girl and she is the world to me, we are about to lose everything for her father was a controlling person and i was unable to work for the past 3 yrs, I have since gain employment, but now need to ask help from the kindness of others. I was left with bills, and no way to control them, (he disapperead)I have since called every company I owe and have extended bills out as far as they will allow them to go, but still unable to come up with the funds to pay them. I am at risk of loosing my place, heat, food and water. If it was just myself I would find a way to live on the streets until the pay checks come in but i am afraid it is not just me and Having a lil one makes a world of difference, and not wanting her to live like that. I have begged every church and charity there is in my area, and have gotten the responses of no more funds, or I don't have the proper verification for help,(i.e. pay stubs). I have been thru state and have gotten some help on things with them, but that wasn't enough. I am on waiting list after waiting list for help from state or city. I guess what I am trying to ask you is not for a handout but for some advice/ help on the matter. Is there any place that I don't have to find funds for to ask for donations, Ive searched and searched, been scammed a few times (hurt worse then no help). Ive applied for loan after loan and been denied because of job history or verification reasons. I don't know who else to turn to. I am an honest person just trying to make it until the money comes in, I have every intention on paying back what ever is helped with. I want to thank you for you time to read my story, and possibly comment on some ways to find help. My name is Lori, and I take care of my mother with Alzheimer's disease. My husband has been looking for work for the past 1 1/2 years with no luck. We're behind on our rent by 2 months, which is a total of $1,050. We're at our wits end and don't know where to find help. Section 8 has a 2 year waiting list. Other programs for rent help I did find are not available in our county,(Luzerne). I also have been to Commission on Economic Opportunity, and they have a program that helps with rent, but you have to fill out papers along with your landlord, and it is not guaranteed. If anyone knows of any help in our county other than what I have mentioned, please let me know. Thank You. I really do appreciate it.

I was given a 7 day notice yesterday and need to come up with $441. I have no family to ask and have no idea where I will come up with the money. I do not get paid for another week. Worst thing is, I haven't even lived there a month. The first months rent I paid was by check and my student loan was drafted the same day (but before) the check cleared. I don't even have all my furniture moved in. I'm praying for any kind of assistance/guidance right about now
